If your wholesale/tax-exempt application is not approved, your submitted certificate will be deleted within 30 days of the decision.

If your account becomes inactive or your certificate is superseded, we retain the certificate for 6 years from the date of the last tax-exempt purchase made under it, in accordance with Massachusetts sales tax recordkeeping requirements, after which it is deleted.
Where you request deletion of your account or personal information, we may retain tax exemption documentation for the periods described above, even after other account information has been deleted, as required by law.
